Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an acute care hospital in Fremont, Ohio. This 13-week contract position offers Day Shift hours (five 8-hour shifts per week) with inpatient and outpatient adult/geriatric care and EPIC charting responsibilities.

The role requires at least 1 year of acute care experience, BLS certification, and an active Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (Ohio license pending may be considered).

Job Description

The selected Occupational Therapist will provide care for both inpatient and outpatient adult and geriatric patients within an acute care environment. The average daily census is 13 patients, with approximately 8 visits per day. This role requires proficiency in utilizing the EPIC documentation system.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and evaluations of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Utilize adaptive equipment and techniques for patient care.
• Facilitate discharge planning and education for patients and families.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy.

Required Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of acute care experience and proficiency in the EPIC charting system. First timers are acceptable for this position.

Certifications/Licensure

Candidates are required to hold BLS certification. Additionally, a valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan is mandatory; applicants with a pending Ohio license may also be considered.
