Job summary

Valero is seeking a Network Specialist to analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate PCN networking, ensuring secure operations across VRF PCN and DMZ networks. You will monitor, deploy, and maintain OT infrastructure while reporting cybersecurity KPIs and driving continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes on-site work, provides relocation assistance, and states that compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's degree in an IT-related field may substitute for two years of experience.
Minimum of five years experience with computer hardware and software.
Minimum of two years as a Network Specialist.
Must be able to work on-site and in-person.

Responsibilities

Analyze, troubleshoot, and evaluate computer and networking problems.
Maintain VRF PCN and DMZ networks and ensure security through configurations and end-user training.
Deploy and maintain OT network infrastructure through Windows patching, antivirus updates, firmware updates, and application updates.
Perform network component upgrades to maintain network equipment stability and deploy updated firmware to routers and switches.
Install network computers, servers, network, and communications equipment.
Continually improve and develop security protocols.
Periodically report System and Cyber security KPI’s.
