Alameda Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide services in a rehabilitation program serving physically disabled and emotionally ill patients at San Leandro. The role involves assessment, treatment planning, and collaboration with physicians and a multi-disciplinary team.

The position is per diem with flexible day shifts in the San Leandro Hospital OT Rehab unit. The incumbent may supervise OT students and aides and participate in conferences to coordinate patient care.

Formación

• Possession of a Bachelor's Degree, certification or Master's Degree from an approved school of occupational therapy.
• Current Licensure with the California Board of Occupational Therapy as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS and CPI training as required by the department.

Responsabilidades

• Attends staff conferences and training sessions.
• Discusses patient progress with physicians and other disciplines and keeps treatment records.
• conducts evaluations to assess physical/psychosocial dysfunction and determine care plans.
• Plans and sometimes supervises OT student therapists and aides.
• Implements treatment programs using therapeutic exercises and adaptive equipment as needed.
• Reviews referrals to note diagnoses, cautions, and desired results.
