Alameda Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist II to supervise and instruct entry to journey level therapists, support staff, and students in rehabilitation programs. The role includes developing techniques/equipment and providing full-range OT services at Alameda Health System facilities, with a caseload and supervisory duties.

The position requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in OT, CA licensure, and BLS with CPI training as applicable.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s in Occupational Therapy from an approved program.
• 1 year of full-time OT experience as OT I with Alameda Health System or 2 years elsewhere in physical disabilities/psycho-social dysfunction.
• California OT licensure (current).

Mansioni

• Attend staff conferences, training, and in-service sessions and coordinate programs.
• Discuss rehabilitation progress with physicians and other disciplines.
• Interview patients and administer tests/evaluations to assess dysfunctions.
• Stay informed on current OT trends and participate in professional activities.
• Keep records and report patient treatment and progress; coordinate with services.
• May assume chief/assistant chief roles and supervise staff as assigned.
• Lead an outpatient group for rehabilitation as appropriate.
• Plan treatment programs using exercises, sensory re-education, and activities of daily living.
• Review physician referrals for diagnoses, cautions, and treatment goals.
• Supervise, orient, and train staff; delegate cases while maintaining caseloads.
