Qualifications

• New Jersey OT license required.
• New graduates and experienced OT welcomed.
• Interest in functional rehabilitation and helping patients regain independence in daily activities.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to evaluate how physical and functional limitations affect daily tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Computer literacy and ability to complete electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physical, functional, and orthopedic limitations.
• Help patients improve their ability to perform activities of daily living.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on functional needs, goals, and lifestyle.
• Address limitations involving strength, mobility, coordination, balance, endurance, and functional movement.
• Incorporate therapeutic activities to improve patients’ ability to perform everyday tasks.
• Work with patients recovering from injury, surgery, illness, or other conditions.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, home programs, and strategies to promote progress.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress.
• Communicate effectively with patients, referring providers, and the SportsMed team.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to support rehabilitation goals.
