Job summary

SportsMed Physical Therapy in New Jersey seeks an Occupational Therapist focused on functional rehabilitation. The role centers on helping patients regain independence in daily activities and return to their valued routines.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering individualized plans, educating patients and caregivers, and monitoring progress to ensure optimal functional recovery. New graduates and experienced therapists are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in New Jersey.
• Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with physical, functional, and orthopedic limitations.
• Help patients perform activities of daily living independently.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and lifestyle.
• Address strength, mobility, coordination, balance, endurance, and movement challenges.
• Incorporate therapeutic activities to improve daily tasks.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans and home programs.
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and progress accurately.
• Communicate with patients, referring providers, and the SportsMed team.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to support rehab goals.
