Job summary

Xcel Energy invites motivated college students to join our OT Energy Management System internship in Colorado. Over 18 months, you will gain hands-on exposure to CIP compliance, ServiceNow ticketing, and daily operations support while developing critical skills for the energy sector.

This role is hybrid, requiring in-person work at our designated Colorado location, with up to 40 hours weekly in the summer and up to 20 hours during the school year.

Qualifications

• Current student enrolled in CS, MIS, engineering, mathematics, analytics, or business.
• Available for 18 months with 20–40 hour weekly commitment.
• Willing to work in-person at the designated Colorado location.
• Strong written and verbal communication; team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop skills for OT area and CIP documentation for meeting compliance requirements.
• Be available to learn OT infrastructure and provide support as assigned.
• Work with Team and assist with On-Prem ServiceNow (OP-SNOW) tickets per Change Management standards.
