Job summary

Dow has an opportunity for an Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Defense Specialist located in Midland, MI or Houston, TX. The Dow CSOC seeks an experienced OT cybersecurity professional to protect Dow's global manufacturing environment, and to detect, investigate, and respond to threats targeting industrial control systems and manufacturing operations.

The role blends OT engineering with cybersecurity and serves as a subject matter expert within the CSOC, developing OT-focused detection content,

Qualifications

• Deep OT/ICS knowledge: DCS, PLC, SCADA, industrial networks, manufacturing ops.
• Experience in security operations, incident response, threat hunting, or monitoring preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex tech info and communicate risks to tech and business.
• Knowledge of OT attack surfaces, risks, and remediation actions.
• Demonstrated ability to develop OT-focused detection content and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Serve as OT SME for industrial control systems and OT networks.
• Lead development of OT-focused detection use cases, analytics, and monitoring.
• Investigate security events affecting OT and enterprise environments, incl. threat hunting and forensics.
• Evaluate emerging threats and translate intelligence into defensive capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detection content, playbooks and incident response guidance.
• Contribute to cross-functional cybersecurity projects to improve OT posture.
• Mentor analysts to grow OT expertise within CSOC.
