Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Cyber Defense Specialist to protect Dow's industrial control systems and manufacturing environments.

The role is based in Midland, MI or Houston, TX and requires deep OT engineering knowledge integrated with cybersecurity expertise within the CSOC. The candidate will lead OT-focused detection development, investigations of security events, and collaboration across cross-functional teams to strengthen Dow's cyber resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience or 5 years relevant experience.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of OT and IC technologies, including DCS, PLC, SCADA, and industrial networks.
• Strong understanding of OT attack surfaces, risk vectors and cyber threats.
• Experience with security operations, incident response, threat hunting or monitoring is preferred.
• Ability to communicate risks and recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship for this position.

Responsibilities

• Serve as subject matter expert for OT, ICS, and OT networks.
• Develop OT-focused detection use cases and monitoring capabilities.
• Investigate security events affecting OT and enterprise environments.
• Evaluate emerging threats and translate intelligence into defensive capabilities.
• Develop and maintain detection content, playbooks, and incident response guidance.
• Contribute to cross-functional cybersecurity projects to improve OT security posture.
• Mentor analysts to develop OT expertise within CSOC.
