Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Sylvania, OH. The OTA will work under an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary setting and ensure adherence to professional standards.

Requirements include a degree in OTA from an accredited program and current state licensure or certification. CPR certification is preferred. The role includes comprehensive benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current OTA licensure or certification.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients' responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
