Job summary

Synchrony Rehab in Dayton, OH seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist and provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary care team.

The role requires an OTA license, an associate degree, 0–1 years of experience, and offers weekly pay with benefits after the first month, plus student loan repayment and a competitive 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current OTA license or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
