Job summary

Synchrony is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to work under an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary setting. You will implement therapy plans, guide ADLs, and monitor patient progress.

The OTA must hold a valid state license/certification and CPR, with 0–1 years of experience. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and accurate documentation to support patient recovery.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification
• Current valid CPR certification, preferred
• Experience not required or 0–1 years recommended

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising OT.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
