Qualifications

• Education required: Associate's Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Licensing: Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in the applicable state.
• BLS within 30 days.
• Complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care and documents communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based interventions; adapt activities to patient needs and environment.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and care team throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers; communicates progress to the team.
• Maintains accurate documentation to support care decisions and payer requirements.
