Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient-centered occupational therapy services across all ages. The role includes following a therapist's plan of care, adapting interventions, and collaborating with families and the care team. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities include documentation, education, and participation in quality improvements while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and care plans across the patient journey.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) credential or eligible for licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Follows the therapist's plan of care. Adjusts the treatment based on patient response and documentation.
• Implements patient-centered, occupation-based intervention plans tailored to patient needs.
• Collaborates with patient, family, and significant others throughout the rehabilitation process.
• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students, and other health care providers.
• Partners with the supervising OT and seeks direction as needed.
• Produces clear and accurate documentation to support care decisions and payer requirements.
• Participates in quality improvement activities addressing service delivery.
• Communicates effectively with the care team and patients.
