NWU is seeking a motivated student or new graduate to join the OT Applications Development team in Bloomington, IL. You will support template creation, explore RAD approaches, review SQL data relationships, and contribute to SDLC improvements.

The role emphasizes independent work with team collaboration, proficiency in C# and VB.NET, and familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps TFVC. Database experience is a plus.

Competenze

• Pursuing or completed CS or Computer Engineering with coursework supporting understanding of OOP.
• Experience with C# and VB.NET.
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps TFVC.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work primarily independently with secondary team collaboration skills.
• Preferred: database experience.

Your Role

Here’s what you will be doing:

• Support the OT Applications Development team by creating and modifying application templates
• Investigate rapid application development (RAD) as a complement to primary development
• Examine SQL table relationships to understand the data layer
• Consider coding methodologies to improve the software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Explore source control migration from Azure DevOps TFVC to Git
• Inspect migration from .NET Framework to .NET
• Perform other duties as assigned

About You

The company is looking for:

• Junior or Senior majoring in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with coursework supporting understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
• Experience with C# and VB.NET
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps TFVC
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work primarily independently with secondary team collaboration skills
• Preferred: database experience

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay ranging from $25.50 to $32.20, based on experience, skills, education, and credentials
