Job summary

The YMCA of Western North Carolina is seeking a Program Coordinator to lead the Out-of-School Time (OST) program at a designated facility. You will work with staff, children, families, and school partners to ensure a high-quality, compliant OST program under the District Program Director’s guidance.

Responsibilities include daily supervision, activity planning, recordkeeping, and staff orientation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to engage parents and the community

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma; a bachelor’s degree in youth development, recreation, or education preferred.
• Experience coordinating OST programs and supervising staff or volunteers is expected.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operation of the out-of-school-time program.
• Provide supervision and activities for participants.
• Collaborate with school staff and community partners to meet participant needs.
• Maintain records and support program staff with onboarding and training.
• Engage families and communities through regular communication and events.
