Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks an Off-Site Source Recovery Project Specialist to manage contract and financial activities for the OSR mission space. The role ensures proper contract administration, planning, and timely reporting to leadership, including NNSA headquarters.

The position supports compliance, project execution, and long-term strategic planning. The INL team works a 9x80 schedule at Idaho Falls with every other Friday off, offering a blend of field and office work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, project management, or related field (Level 2: 2+ years experience or Master’s with 2+ years).
• Level 3: Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or Master’s with 2+ years experience.
• Experience in contract administration, financial analysis, project controls, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency with financial planning tools and spreadsheets.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across project teams.
• Requires ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy L clearance (U.S. Citizenship).

Responsibilities

• Accrue vendor contracts and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Monitor active contracts for compliance and alignment with program needs, including SOW and modifications.
• Coordinate with procurement, vendors, and staff for contract closeout and updates.
• Develop and maintain program finance plans, spend plans, and cost projections.
• Support financial reporting, including expenditure analysis and burn rates.
• Assist in ensuring carryover limits are monitored per program and requirements.
• Prepare monthly reports for NNSA headquarters and OSR leadership.
• Provide cross-functional support to integrate financial and contractual data into program execution.
