Job summary

HNM Systems is seeking an experienced OSP Project Manager to drive fiber optic infrastructure projects from design through construction. The role is largely office-based and collaborates with OSP Designers, Engineers, Permitting, and Construction teams to ensure constructible, delivered networks.

Ideal candidates bring a strong background in outside plant construction, including aerial and underground deployments, and can read engineering prints to bridge engineering and field execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in OSP telecommunications.
• Strong knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction.
• Experience partnering with design and engineering teams.
• Ability to read and interpret construction prints.
• Familiarity with permitting, utility coordination, and ROW.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage fiber projects from planning through closeout.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers on constructible designs.
• Review fiber routes for constructability, feasibility, and cost efficiency.
• Interpret drawings, engineering prints, work packages, and as-built documentation.
• Occasional field visits to validate designs and support construction.
• Coordinate route planning, permitting, utility coordination, and ROW considerations.
• Liaise between engineering, design, permitting, construction, and operations teams.
• Track project schedules, milestones, deliverables, and progress.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify project risks early and propose practical solutions.
