Job summary

Fiberlight seeks an OSP Engineer to plan, coordinate, and oversee outside plant engineering for fiber network construction. You will collaborate with GIS teams, ensure all engineering requirements are met before project execution, and manage budgets and vendors to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires BS in a related field, experience in OSP engineering or telecom infrastructure, and proficiency with ArcGIS, 3-GIS, Google Earth, Site Tracker, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• BS in an engineering-related field or Construction Management, or related experience.
• Experience in OSP engineering, fiber optic network design, or telecommunications infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with ArcGIS, 3-GIS, or similar GIS platforms.
• Knowledge of fiber route design, permitting, and OSP construction practices.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Driver's license with reliable driving record.
• Proficiency with PC applications (Word, Excel, Project).

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate OSP engineering activities for fiber projects.
• Develop work orders for infrastructure and network issues.
• Prepare cost estimates and assist budgets.
• Perform risk assessments and mitigation.
• Collaborate with teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Monitor progress, schedules, and budgets.
• Support planning, design, construction, and maintenance.
• Review drawings, routes, and conduit layouts.
• Review material requirements and cost analyses.
• Ensure documentation and permits are accurate.
• Support continuous improvement in processes.
