Job summary

Avacend Inc. seeks an OSP Inspector II to verify underground, buried and aerial plant facilities meet current standards through inspections and corrections performed by contractors. You will document inspections, audits and pole transfers electronically and communicate via email and cell phone.

Travel to various sites on short notice may be required. Proficiency with mapping/GPS tools, strong time management, and good communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience with NESC inspections or aerial cable line crews.
• Experience with wooden pole ground line inspections.
• Proficient in OSP Construction Standards.
• Familiar with the National Electric Safety Code.
• Strong computer skills: Windows, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience with mapping tools preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Inspect underground, buried and aerial plant facilities to current standards.
• Document inspections, audits, and pole transfers electronically.
• Communicate via email and cellular phone; manual record-keeping as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required; manage contractor coordination.
• Use mapping/GPS tools to support inspections.
