Qualifications

• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to operate hand tools and handheld mobile devices.
• Experience in customer service, construction, electrical, or technical field is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, overtime, and holidays.
• Knowledge of cable color identification.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments.

• Install, maintain, and repair Ripple Fiber equipment.

Job Title

Field Service Technician | Ripple Fiber

Location

Pinehurst Office - West End, NC 27376

Responsibilities

• Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing Ripple Fiber equipment according to customer requirements and company standards.
• Manage all last‑mile (drop, in‑home, and business) network connections and equipment.
• Fault‑find and resolve customer complaints.
• Create and maintain network documentation.
• Use monitoring network performance tools to troubleshoot problem areas.
• Assist with escalations (2nd‑line support) to resolve end‑user issues.
• Configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and install broadband services such as Wi‑Fi routers and smart‑home devices.
• Route fiber‑optic drop cables from termination boxes to router locations.
• Set up in‑home and business networks to connect clients.
• Help customers connect their home devices to the Ripple Fiber network.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, overtime, emergency call‑outs, and holidays.

Physical Demands

• Lift and move up to 60 lbs. (some ladders weigh 50–60 lbs).
• Work in small spaces or lofts up to 28 ft.
• Meet ladder safety weight requirements (maximum 275 lbs. including gear) per OSHA standards.
