OSP Field Inspector / OSP Construction Coordinator (Gretna and Quincy Florida, Local Candidates Preferred)

$35.00 - $37.50/hour (W2) Mileage Reimbursement | Local Travel | Fiber Construction Program

About the Opportunity

Broadstaff is seeking an experienced OSP Field Inspector / OSP Construction Coordinator to support a large-scale fiber construction initiative throughout Northeast Alabama. We're looking for professionals who understand OSP construction and enjoy being in the field, working alongside construction crews, documenting progress, updating redlines, and serving as the eyes and ears of the client's OSP Construction team. This is not a Construction Manager (CM) role. Instead, you'll focus on inspection, reporting, field documentation, and supporting construction operations that help keep fiber deployment projects running efficiently.

What You’ll Do

• Perform field inspections of underground and aerial fiber construction projects
• Monitor contractor production and provide daily status reports
• Capture photos, measurements, and field documentation
• Update redlines and support as-built documentation efforts
• Verify construction methods and document field changes
• Communicate real-time field updates to internal OSP teams
• Identify, document, and escalation project issues when necessary
• Support construction coordinators responsible for multiple markets
• Travel throughout the assigned Northeast Alabama territory to active construction sites

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in OSP telecom construction, utility construction, or fiber deployment
• Understanding of underground and aerial fiber construction practices
• Ability to read construction drawings, maps, permits, and redlines
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience tracking construction progress and production reporting
• Ability to work independent with minimal supervision
• Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, cameras, and reporting software
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability to travel daily within the assigned territory
• Preferred Experience: OSP Inspector, Fiber Inspector, OSP Field Coordinator, OSP Construction Coordinator, OSP Field Engineer, Telecommunications Construction Inspector, Broadband / FTTH Deployment Projects, GIS and Redline Documentation, Utility Construction Inspection
• Travel & Expenses: Primarily local travel throughout Northeast Florida
• Mileage reimbursed
• Limited overnight travel may be required based on project needs
• Approved hotel and meal expenses reimbursed when applicable
