Job summary

Broadstaff seeks an experienced OSP Field Inspector / OSP Construction Coordinator to support a large fiber program across Southeast Alabama. You will inspect underground and aerial fiber builds, capture field data, and keep as-built records up to date.

Travel to active sites daily, coordinate with crews, monitor progress, and provide real-time updates to the OSP team. The role emphasizes inspection, documentation, reporting, and field support rather than management.

Qualifications

• OSP telecom construction, utility construction, or fiber deployment experience.
• Knowledge of underground and aerial fiber construction practices.
• Ability to read construction drawings, maps, permits, and redlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience documenting field activity and production progress.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, cameras, and reporting tools.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to travel daily throughout the assigned market.

About the Opportunity

Broadstaff is seeking an experienced OSP Field Inspector / OSP Construction Coordinator to support a large-scale fiber construction initiative throughout Southeast Alabama. We're looking for professionals who know OSP construction and enjoy being in the field, working directly with crews, documenting progress, updating redlines, and serving as the eyes and ears of the client's OSP Construction team. This is not a Construction Manager (CM) role. Instead, you'll focus on inspection, documentation, reporting, and field support activities that help keep construction projects moving efficiently.
