Job summary

Swoon is seeking an experienced OSP Field Construction Manager to lead the execution of a growing fiber network across Central Alabama. Qualifications

  • 4+ years hands-on telecommunications OSP construction experience.
  • Strong knowledge of fiber construction methods and outside plant infrastructure.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
  • Ability to navigate HES systems used to track service orders and facility records.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Central Alabama.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee installation of OSP fiber facilities, including aerial, underground, and buried plant.
  • Coordinate daily field activities with Project Managers, construction contractors, splicing teams, and locate vendors.
  • Ensure construction and splicing activities are completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Review and distribute splicing diagrams and construction packages to contractors.
  • Assist contractors with complex builds, design clarifications, and field-based issue resolution.
  • Oversee safety, quality control inspections and compliance with NEC and RUS codes.
