Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking an experienced OSP Engineer to support telecom infrastructure projects. The role focuses on the design, planning, and implementation of outside plant networks involving copper and fiber, with emphasis on permitting and construction coordination.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on copper and fiber optic network engineering.
• Minimum 5 years in network engineering or OSP-related work, including permitting and fiber record management.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Ziply engineering tools and systems, including FROGS, Varasset, and SiteTracker.
• Willingness to travel locally for fieldwork; PST/MST time zones preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and plan outside plant facilities for copper and fiber infrastructure (aerial, buried, conduit).
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, loop loss calculations, and switch serving area designs.
• Coordinate with municipal and government officials on road projects; mileage reimbursed.
• Develop project budgets and monitor costs; conduct site inspections for quality assurance.
• Update design and tracking tools (FROGS, Varasset, SiteTracker) as required.
