Telecon is seeking an OSP Construction Inspector in Training (FTTH) to oversee subcontractor work on fiber-to-the-home projects from pre-construction through closeout on sites in Washington.
You will walk the sites, track crew production, document results, and enforce safety and regulatory requirements. Training is provided; experience in construction, telecom, or fiber is helpful but not required. This role offers regular hours and outdoor work.
OSP Construction Inspector in Training (FTTH) Employment Type Regular - Full time Department Civil # of openings 1
Every build we take on ends with a community connected to a fiber network it will rely on for years. As an outside plant (OSP) Construction Inspector, you'll help make sure it gets built right. Maybe you've worked around construction or telecom before, or maybe you're ready to start a career in fiber. Either way, we'll train you on the standards, the drawings, and what good work looks like, then put you in charge of checking subcontractor crews on fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) projects from pre-construction walkouts through closeout.
Your days are spent outside walking routes, tracking crew production, catching problems early, and documenting everything, in all weather. You'll work independently, so you'll need to know where to be and when without anyone reminding you. There's room to grow from this role within Telecon.
This role is for someone who picks things up fast and finishes what they start. When something on a job doesn't look right, you ask until it makes sense, and you remember it next time. Construction, telecom, or fiber experience helps, but it isn't required. If you've been looking for a real way into fiber construction and you're ready to earn it, start here.
This position requires successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review, as applicable.
This role requires the ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking 2 to 5 miles a day through neighborhoods and job sites. Employees must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
This role is performed primarily outdoors on active construction sites and in neighborhoods, with regular exposure to weather, traffic, and active construction zones. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
