Telecon is seeking a Fiber Construction Project Manager to lead FTTH builds across Western Washington. You will plan, assign, and oversee field crews, coach OSP engineers, manage budgets, and ensure accurate billing from first plan to final invoice.
Requirements include 5+ years in OSP telecom, 2+ years in project management, and strong Excel and contract-reading skills. Travel to job sites is required; competitive benefits accompany a full-time role.
You've managed Fiber to the Home (FTTH) builds before, so you know what's at stake: a community counting on a fiber network for years to come. As our Fiber Construction Project Manager, you'll own those builds across your market from first plan to final invoice, handing out work to crews and subcontractors, coaching your outside plant (OSP) Engineers, and keeping every job on schedule, on budget, and billed right.
Some days you're walking job sites, checking progress and clearing roadblocks with clients and cities. Other days you're at your desk with the numbers. Expect to spend a lot of time in spreadsheets and trackers, keeping work in progress (WIP) tied to budget, approving invoices, and making sure every change order gets billed. Safety comes first on every project, and you set that standard.
This role is for someone with 5+ years in OSP telecom who knows fiber prints, underground drilling, and aerial placement, and has spent at least 2 years managing projects and the budgets behind them. You don't just know what got built today. You know what it cost and where the job stands. If that's how you already work, this one's yours to run.
This position requires successful completion of a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review, as applicable.
This role combines office work with regular job site visits, including extended computer use, driving between sites, and walking active construction sites on uneven terrain. Employees must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
This role is performed in a mix of office settings and active job sites, with regular exposure to weather, traffic, equipment, and construction noise while in the field. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
