Job summary

Info Gain Consulting in McLean, Virginia seeks a Training Specialist / Instructional Designer to lead development, delivery support, and evaluation of OSINT training for a federal customer. Translate government workflows into role-based learning products with Section 508 accessibility and auditable records.

The role covers needs assessments, curriculum design, slide decks, job aids, and evaluation. Supports instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced delivery with coordination across stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in instructional design or a related field; four additional years of directly relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
  • At least 5 years designing and developing instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, technical, operational, or compliance training.
  • Experience conducting needs assessments, writing measurable learning objectives, and developing role-based learning products.
  • Ability to convert complex technical or policy material into clear slide decks, job aids, and workflow instruction.
  • Working knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements for documents, presentations, and digital learning content.
  • Experience supporting training delivery, participation tracking, feedback collection, and effectiveness reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word and working proficiency with Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Strong facilitation, writing, editing, and stakeholder-coordination skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct training-needs assessments to identify audiences, required proficiency, workflow gaps, and delivery priorities.
  • Define audience tiers, learning objectives, instructional strategies, delivery methods, and evaluation measures.
  • Develop and maintain the Training Plan, including curriculum, cadence, materials plan, participation tracking, and effectiveness measures.
  • Design role-based curricula that teach the actual analyst, supervisor, program-management, and compliance workflows for each capability.
  • Develop slide decks, facilitator guides, job aids, quick-reference guides, and self-paced learning products.
  • Translate technical, intelligence, privacy, civil-liberties, CUI, and governance content into understandable instruction.
  • Support Government-directed instructor-led, virtual, self-paced, and at-the-elbow delivery and coordinate logistics.
  • Create properly marked, version-controlled, and Section 508-accessible training products.
  • Track participation and completion and maintain auditable records of who completed which training and when.
  • Collect learner feedback and prepare quarterly Training Effectiveness Summaries with improvement recommendations.
