Job summary

Jobot is seeking an ambitious Assistant Superintendent in Vallejo, CA to join its healthcare construction team. The role focuses on OSHPD compliance and ground-up healthcare projects. This is a permanent position with opportunities to lead projects nationally.

You will oversee all project phases, coordinate teams and subcontractors, manage schedule and budget, ensure safety and quality, and mentor field staff. Travel and relocation are supported where needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare construction with OSHPD focus.
• Proven management of construction projects from start to finish.
• Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, OSHA guidelines and codes.
• Familiarity with construction and project management software.
• Strong understanding of materials, processes and equipment; able to interpret plans.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all stages of the project life cycle from conception to completion.
• Coordinate activities of construction teams and subcontractors to meet schedule and budget.
• Ensure compliance with OSHPD regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and building specialists to deliver healthcare facilities.
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate logistics, materials and equipment.
• Resolve conflicts, delays or emergencies at the site.
• Maintain project documentation, including plans, contracts and change orders.
• Facilitate communication among owners, architects, subcontractors and team members.
• Implement quality control procedures and mentor field staff.
