Job summary

Junior Adventures Group in Vermont seeks a Mobile Coordinator to oversee Outside School Hours Care across the region. You will lead and support OSHC teams, ensure safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate programs for school-aged children while covering multiple sites.

This permanent part-time role offers 38 hours weekly on split shifts, with generous pay, a car allowance, and opportunities for training and career progression, plus family-friendly benefits and referral rewards.

Qualifications

• AQF Level 5 or Level 6 qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care, or another approved qualification for outside school hours care, as required under state regulations.
• Demonstrated experience working directly with children in an education and care environment, preferably within OSHC.
• Experience leading and supporting teams within regulated education and care services.
• Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards and My Time, Our Place.
• Experience planning and implementing educational and recreational programs for school-aged children.
• Demonstrated ability to support child safety, active supervision, regulatory compliance and service improvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct educational and recreational activities for children attending before-school, after-school and vacation care, with appropriate menus and hygiene.
• Guide children’s behaviour and social development using positive, inclusive and child-centred practices.
• Support children’s wellbeing, medical and dietary requirements, including medication documentation and risk-minimisation plans.
• Monitor and evaluate educational programs to ensure engagement and cultural appropriateness.
• Provide leadership coverage when replacing coordinators or managers and mentor coordinators and educators.
• Conduct service visits, compliance checks, risk assessments, drills and safety reviews.
• Support services to comply with National Quality Framework and applicable legislation.
• Assist with onboarding, rostering, attendance records and service-improvement initiatives.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, schools, educators and communities.
