Job summary

Vermont Support & Stabilization (VTSS) is seeking a full-time Permanency Coordinator to support youth and families across Barre, Hartford, and surrounding Vermont areas. The role involves travel during the week, a company vehicle for travel, and a remote/on-site client service setup with flexible scheduling.

The ideal candidate has post-training therapy experience, licensure eligibility, and a background with traumatized youth.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in human services/social work or therapeutic services.
• Minimum: Associate’s degree in human services/social work or therapeutic services.
• Valid driver's license with currently active car insurance.
• Satisfactory completion of background, driving, and applicable licensing checks.
• Experience working with traumatized children and/or adolescents and a focus in human services/therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assist youth and families to overcome obstacles, identify strengths, and develop a support network to ensure success.
• Coordinate treatment and discharge planning to achieve permanency goals.
• Support, educate, and guide in developing structure, routines, and parenting skills.
• Interact with the community through court and meetings with service providers and schools.
• Provide additional support such as nutrition and budgeting as needed.
• Attend weekly supervision and participate in team meetings and case reviews.
