Job summary

The University of Washington's Department of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences is seeking an OSHA Instructor & Lead to deliver high-quality OSHA courses and oversee the instructor team in Seattle and via Zoom.

Reporting to the Director of Continuing Education, the role combines instruction with program operations, ensuring course compliance, maintaining instructor performance, and supporting OTIEC requirements, while traveling to open enrollment and contracted sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in occupational safety, training, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Instruction & Course Delivery – deliver OSHA courses in person and/or virtually.
• Instructor Management and Program Support – onboard and credential instructors; manage schedules and compliance.
• Outreach Support – represent OSHCE at conferences and industry events; prepare reports based on feedback.
