This role involves executing acquisition activities for the Department of the Navy, leading organizational studies, and ensuring compliance with DoD directives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Navy acquisitions and procurement management, alongside strong analytical skills and regulatory compliance expertise.
DSFederal Inc,is seeking an experienced Senior Acquisition Specialist to support federal Program Managers in planning and managing various programs. This position is responsible for executing acquisition and procurement activities for the Department of the Navy SYSCOM.The Senior Acquisition Specialist will lead organizational studies and evaluations, design systems and procedures, and prepare operations and procedures manuals to enhance efficiency for the client's management teams. They will draft and support program milestone-related documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives.Additionally, the role involves developing key program acquisition documents, including Acquisition Plans, Statements of Work, and Procurement Initiation Documents, while assessing program procedures and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements.A working knowledge or familiarity with applicable federal government information systems is required. The specialist will also support service acquisition and life cycle management analysis, participate in Program Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and apply appropriate business and technical methodologies in executing their responsibilities.This position requires extensive experience in Navy acquisitions, procurement management, and federal contracting procedures. The ideal candidate will possess Microsoft Office 365 programs experience; experience in the research and development industry; strong analytical skills; expertise in regulatory compliance; strong strategic development experience; and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize acquisition strategies and processes. This is a Contingent Position.
