Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in the United States seeks a Fabrication Technician to fabricate orthoses and prostheses, ensuring maximum fit, function, cosmetics, and workmanship while staying current with new fabrication techniques.

The role requires training peers, potentially leading within the workstream, and maintaining 5S and regulatory compliance. Opportunities for relocation and career growth exist.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of machinery/tool experience.
• Or 2 years’ experience in O&P environments without a diploma.
• Or a technical degree in Orthotics & Prosthetics from an accredited school.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices to Company standards.
• Train Associate Fabricators and peers several times a week.
• Occasionally act as informal team lead within the workstream.
• Assist or perform ordering, receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• Work on three–four device types within a general Orthotic or Prosthetic workstream.
• Maintain 5S for a safe, clean, orderly work environment.
• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA training.
