Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Technician to fabricate and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices to ensure maximum fit, function, cosmetics and workmanship.

You will keep abreast of new fabrication techniques, apply skills safely in a lab that adheres to OSHA and HIPAA requirements, and may train peers or act as an informal team lead.

This role emphasizes quality, teamwork and continuous improvement within a busy orthotics and prosthetics environment and includes comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and hand skills to fabricate and repair prostheses and orthoses according to specifications.
• Applies company policies and procedures to complete tasks.
• Mechanical ability and hand-eye coordination to use laboratory tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and repair orthotic and/or prosthetic devices according to standards.
• Train Associates and peers several times a week.
• Act as an informal team lead within the workstream several times a week.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, and other inventory tasks.
• Work on 3–4 device types within a general Orthotic or Prosthetic workstream.
• Maintain 5S for a safe, clean, orderly environment.
• Follow OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
