Job summary

Hanger, Inc. is seeking an Orthotics & Prosthetics Technician in Nicholasville, KY to fabricate and repair orthoses and prosthetic devices. You will collaborate with clinicians and patients in a workshop setting, focusing on fabrication processes and precise craftsmanship.

The role requires strong hand skills, use of small power tools, and the ability to manage inventory while maintaining high quality. Experience with band saws, drills, and routers is preferred, and a valid driver's license is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training school or 2 years experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to perform fabrication and repair of orthotic and/or prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering and receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated and off-the-shelf orthoses such as cervical orthoses, pressure gradient hose, and trusses.
• Provide education to patients on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for DME products as indicated by the physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations
• Contact vendors to order orthotic fabrication materials and maintain inventory of items used during fabrication process.
