Job summary

Hanger, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking an in-house fabrication tech to build and repair orthotic and prosthetic devices. You’ll work closely with clinicians and patients to adjust devices, using hand tools in a workshop setting away from the exam room.

The role emphasizes skilled manual work, with experience on band saws, drill presses, vacuum systems, heat guns and routers preferred. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus basic technical training or two years’ experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or 2 years experience preferred.
• Hand skills and familiarity with hand tools necessary for fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Use appropriate hand tools to fabricate and repair orthotic/prosthetic devices.
• Perform ordering/receiving and other inventory tasks as assigned.
• May fit and deliver prefabricated orthoses and similar items.
• Educate patients on application, use, care, and outcomes for DME products.
