Job summary

Breg is seeking a Patient Service Representative I in Irvine, CA to educate clinicians on orthopedic bracing options and ensure accurate patient care and service.

You will handle inventory, order fulfillment, and insurance billing while delivering outstanding patient experiences and maintaining HIPAA compliance. This role requires strong communication, teamwork, and a proactive maintenance of records and processes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in healthcare-related field or equivalent hands-on experience in orthotics, athletic training, or patient care.
• Holds and maintains certification/licensure such as ABC CFo, BOC, athletic training licensure, or orthopedic technologist certification (preferred).
• Familiarity with workflows in orthopedic clinics or physician offices.
• Proficient with MS Office and comfortable learning new software/systems.

Responsibilities

• Educates physicians and clinical staff on Breg's orthopedic bracing and supply program.
• Demonstrates fitting of Breg products per training and company standards.
• Measures and fits patients with orthopedic bracing and explains usage and outcomes.
• Delivers exceptional patient service with timely follow-up per policy.
• Manages product inventory at accounts, including transfers and reconciliations.
• Supports order fulfillment with complete and accurate documentation.
• Ensures inventory counts, displays, and storage meet standards.
• Provides onsite support for recalls, audits, and field communications.
• Prepares and submits insurance billing documentation accurately and on time.
• Reviews pending claims, collects missing information, and identifies documentation gaps.
• Coordinates with billing office for pre-authorizations and collects payments as applicable.
• Tracks claim denials and gathers necessary documentation.
• Adheres to HIPAA and FDA requirements and company SOPs.
• Collaborates with Solution Team, Sales, and Field Operations to improve service.
• Maintains professionalism, privacy, and accuracy in all interactions.
• Generates daily/weekly/monthly reports and analyzes data for improvement.
• Represents the company positively and aligns with culture and accountability.
• Supports storytelling and recognition to promote Breg's culture.
