Job summary

Elliot Orthopedics, a department of Elliot Hospital, seeks a Front Desk Representative to provide clerical support, greet patients, register, schedule appointments, and manage demographics and charges. This role works as part of an integrated healthcare team to support efficient patient care.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, proficiency in MS Office, and prior healthcare experience is preferred. On-site work with a compassionate team is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a health care setting preferred.
• Software/Hardware: Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets and registers patients; notifies medical staff of their arrival.
• Verifies current address and insurance status.
• Schedules referral appointments with specialists, hospital testing and lab work.
• Completes prior authorization of testing according to insurance requirements.
• Checks out patient from the office. Collects payments and schedules follow up appointments.
• Maintains providers schedules and confirms daily appointments.
