Job summary

VCU Health System Authority seeks an Administrator to provide administrative and financial leadership for one department or several within the academic medical center. The role requires strategic planning, budget oversight, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the School of Medicine and ambulatory operations.

The Administrator oversees policy development, university accounts, and service-line initiatives, ensuring equity and access while managing departmental performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible financial management and/or administrative/operational work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory and staff management work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business or closely related field required.
• Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial management and administrative operations for the department(s).
• Collaborate with SOM leadership and ambulatory operations to improve clinic operations.
• Develop and oversee policy/procedure for departments within scope and ensure compliance with VCUHS expectations.
• Lead diverse teams and manage university accounts and research-related matters in coordination with SOM leadership.
