Job summary

VCU Health is seeking an Administrator to provide administrative and financial leadership for the Department(s) of the Medical College of Virginia Physicians. The role oversees budgets, compliance, and operations, partnering with the SOM and university leaders to advance education, research, and clinical practice.

A CMPE or similar certification is preferred. The Administrator manages diverse teams, develops policy, and aligns resources with strategic goals while ensuring equity and high-quality

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of increasingly responsible financial management and/or administrative/operational work experience in a healthcare setting.
• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory and staff management work experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business or closely related field.
• Master's Degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or closely related field preferred.
• Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) or similar certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and financial leadership, oversight, and management to one or more departments.
• Develop strategic plans, ensure regulatory compliance, manage finances and human resources.
• Collaborate with SOM and university leaders to oversee educational and research activities.
• Support inclusive, equitable strategies and manage university accounts and research administration matters.
• Supervise administrative, clinical and clerical staff and interface with leadership for performance objectives.
