Job summary

Duke Orthopedics Oncology Service in Durham and Cary, NC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care in collaboration with the attending physician for patients with bone metastasis and general orthopedic care.

Primary hours are Monday–Friday with flexible hours to meet patient needs; experience in orthopedics/oncology is preferred. DEA license and NC medical credentials are required.

Qualifications

• Requires NP or PA with appropriate state licensure and certification.
• Master's degree for NP; Bachelor's (and master's preferred) for PA.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in orthopedics oncology clinic in collaboration with attending physician.
• Manage patient load and assist in clinic visits and peri‑operative processes.
• Document care in EMR and communicate with care team.
• Triage and coordinate patient care, tests, and follow‑ups.
• Ensure timely documentation of results and patient communications.
