Job summary

Duke Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Duke Department of Radiation Oncology at the Duke Cancer Center and Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. You will deliver direct patient care in a multidisciplinary setting and support inpatient consults and outpatient clinics.

Flexible primary hours (four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts) to meet patient needs, with experience in Oncology or Radiation Oncology preferred. DEA, NP/PA licensure, and BLS required.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner program with a Master's degree in Nursing.
• Physician Assistant program completion; Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• NC RN license with NP certification or NC PA licensure.
• DEA license is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to evaluate and diagnose oncologic issues and prescribe treatment.
• Take patient histories, perform exams, order imaging, and formulate treatment plans.
• Educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, treatment plans, risks, and logistics of radiation therapy.
• Monitor for radiation-related effects and document health records meticulously.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated care.
