Responsibilities

• Accompanies Physician into the patient examination room to transcribe history and physical, and document the encounter.
• Lists diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the Physician.
• Uses the EMR to queue prescription renewals for review and enters orders for tests, services or appointments as directed.
• Documents procedures performed by the Physician.
