Job summary

Heywood Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Medical Office Assistant in Gardner, MA. The role supports patient care and clinical office functions under supervision, handling scheduling, basic testing, vitals, and patient education.

You will perform phlebotomy, injections, and vaccine administration as directed, while assisting providers and maintain timely patient flow in a busy clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or MOA program completion.
• CMA/RMA or equivalent required; certification within six months of employment.
• BLS certification required or obtained within six months.
• Experience in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly, courteous manner and provide service.
• Schedule tests and appointments; document vitals and patient information.
• Assist with phlebotomy and vaccines; support providers during visits.
• Manage patient flow, prepare patients for exams and assist with procedures as needed.
• Perform clerical tasks and maintain accurate patient records and communication.
