Job summary

Heywood Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to support clinical and clerical operations across multiple locations.

You will perform phlebotomy, patient vitals, in-office testing, vaccine administration, scheduling, and patient education, while ensuring efficient patient flow and accurate record-keeping. Minimum education includes a high school diploma with MOA program preferred; CMA/RMA and BLS certifications are advantageous.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; MOA program preferred.
• CMA/RMA certification or equivalent is a plus and BLS via American Heart Association required or obtainable within six months.
• Experience in a medical office is preferred.
• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records is required.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and medical office clinical support and clerical duties.
• Schedule tests, record patient information, and document vitals.
• Perform in-office testing, phlebotomy, and administer vaccines as directed.
• Handle phones, appointment scheduling, and patient education.
• Coordinate patient flow and prepare for examinations.
• Maintain records and assist with billing and insurance verifications.
