Job summary

PeaceHealth in Washington is seeking a Medical Assistant - Orthopedics for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Day shift. You will support physicians and providers in delivering patient care within the Medical Assistant scope and help maintain efficient clinic workflow.

Responsibilities include preparing patients, rooms, injections, wound care, scheduling tests, maintaining EMR entries, and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• Accredited Medical Assistant program completed.
• WA State MA certification required or interim credential accepted.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required on hire.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations and record vital signs.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Administer injections and apply dressings under provider orders.
• Assist scheduling tests and follow-up appointments.
• Enter data into electronic medical record and maintain patient files.
• Provide phone screening to route to appropriate staff.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
