Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clinical and clerical duties, patient flow and procedures across a multi-site care network.

Responsibilities include room preparation, maintaining patient flow, updating vital signs and allergies in the EHR, scheduling, and communication. Requires HS diploma, MA/phlebotomy program, BLS, and English proficiency. Pay: $22.02–$27.07/hr in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required. 2-4 years related work experience, preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room. Escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visit. Prepares pertinent information for patient visit.
• Documents vital signs and allergies in EHR.
• Schedules appointments and communicates with patients.
