Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support our orthopedic clinic team in Murray, Utah. You will assist providers, collect information, and communicate with patients by phone and in person to ensure quality care.

The role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail and compassionate patient interactions. One year MA experience or MA program completion or RN/LPN license acceptable, with BLS required before start date.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program OR at least one year MA experience OR active RN/LPN license to practice in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before start date.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect privacy and PHI of patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians by gathering information relative to the patient’s visit.
• Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in-person interactions.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to support patient care and follow-through.
