Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care in a new general surgery clinic. Responsibilities include data collection, gathering visit information, and clear patient communication by phone and in person.

Qualifications include a formal MA program or equivalent experience, BLS, and strong privacy/PHI protection. Prior MA or outpatient clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• MA program completion or one year MA experience or current RN/LPN license.
• Basic computer skills including word processing and data entry.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to protect patient privacy and PHI.

Responsibilities

• Under clinician direction, assist providers to gather information for visits.
• Communicate clearly with patients via telephone and in-person.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient care.
• Demonstrate proficiency in basic medical assisting skills in ambulatory settings.
